HX unveils new Antarctica and Arctic cruises for 2026-2027

HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions) has launched its 2026-2027 range, offering new itineraries in Antarctica, Alaska, Greenland, Norway and the Galápagos.

Alex McNeil, chief expedition officer, said: “These are the best destinations done better than ever.

“We’re building on over a century of maritime expertise by enhancing local partnerships and community-focused experiences, ensuring a lasting, positive impact wherever we go.”

New options for 2026-2027 include Solar Eclipse Expedition – An Anniversary Celebration to Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland.

This sailing will celebrate HX’s 130th anniversary and reflect on the company’s first expedition in summer 1896 – and offer the chance to see a total solar eclipse over East Greenland.

Also new is the seven-night Ultimate Norway – Arctic Expedition under the Northern Lights and an Ultimate Norway at Christmas voyage will be available in late 2026.

New nine-night and 12-night sailings for Alaska’s Inside Passage provide access to the state’s wilderness and wildlife.

Iconic Antarctica – The Explorer’s Route is a new itinerary featuring the South Shetland Islands, Antarctic Sound, Weddell Sea, Gerlache Strait and Penola Strait, beginning and ending in Buenos Aires.

New voyages will also depart from Dover and Hamburg, exploring the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, the Dutch coastal town of Harlingen, Germany’s Heligoland Island and Svalbard.
