Travel industry law firm Travlaw has hosted its second annual five-a-side football tournament, raising £175 for Leeds Bed Bank.
The Travlaw Charity Shield, which took place at Goals Manchester on September 25, featured a host team as well as representation from Egencia, BCD Travel, Diversity Travel, dnata, Sportsbreaks and Inspiresport.
Inspiresport were crowned the champions after defeating Sportsbreaks in the final, with a golden goal separating the sides in extra time.
Tournament organiser Nick Parkinson said: “Everyone had a great time. Passions were high, so I had my work cut out refereeing some of the games, but it was all in good spirits.
“Looking ahead, we’ve had plenty of interest from travel companies wanting to take part next year.”
Intersport managing director Steve Butchart said: “The team did Inspiresport proud – beating our sister company Sportsbreaks in the final was an added bonus.”
The competition cost £25 to enter, with the money helping to provide struggling families with necessities including clothes, toiletries and food.
