Newmarket Holidays has introduced a £20 Love To Shop incentive for agents, for all new bookings made on the operator’s UK and Ireland breaks.
The promotion follows the launch last week of Newmarket’s ‘Destinations in the Spotlight’ offers which feature discounts of 15% off all UK and Ireland holidays.
The discounts run alongside a campaign offering 10% off touring and river cruise holidays.
The escorted tour specialist has more than 20 holidays in its UK and Ireland programme.
It has reported growth in its trade sales, as the “expertise and reassurance of booking through an agent has shone even more brightly during these difficult times”.
Richard Forde, head of trade sales, said: “Our trade partners have been brilliant throughout the pandemic with their unwavering support and, as demand is beginning to return, we felt it was a good opportunity to give customers and agents alike an even greater incentive to book one of our tours.”
He said the operator’s team of account managers will be visiting agents when the company feels “circumstances allow”.
“Most travel businesses, agencies and operators have had colleagues on furlough during the pandemic,” he commented.
“We understand the return to work can be daunting and product knowledge may need an update and refresh.
“We won’t be out on the road just yet; we feel it is too early to ask our team to do that – sending out the wrong messages at this time and feedback from partners is that it is too soon for most.
“However, as always, we are here to support in any way we can with marketing material and product training via webinars, video conferencing and sometimes the old-fashioned telephone call.”
He added: “We can’t wait to get out again and do what we enjoy most – seeing our partners and selling holidays.”
