The UK has been one of the “strongest-performing markets” for Celestyal during the current wave period, registering an 82% increase in revenue year on year.
The growth has been driven by “high demand for peak summer sailings” and “strong engagement from the trade" since the launch of its wave campaign on December 8.
More widely, global revenues for the destination specialist are up 51% compared to January 25, and ahead of the company’s initial targets by 23%.
As a result, Celestyal has extended its wave campaign to February 19 and expanded it by including more departures for its Heavenly Greece, Italy & Croatia and Idyllic Aegean itineraries.
The promotion now features savings of up to 50%, up to €500 speciality food and beverage credit and up to £180 shore excursion credit per cabin on almost 200 sailings.
The line’s ‘sell 3, sail free’ incentive has also been extended to February 19 so agents can earn a four-night or seven-night Arabian Gulf cruise depending on their number of sales.
Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer at Celestyal, said: “Wave is always a critical trading period for us, and this year’s performance clearly shows the appetite for sailings that offer genuine destination immersion and strong value.
“The response from both our travellers and travel trade partners has been exceptional, and extending the Unmissable Sale allows us to maintain momentum while supporting our agents through the remainder of wave.”
