Ambassador Cruise Line to host cricket legends on festive sailing

Ambassador Cruise Line will welcome former cricket players and pundits on a festive sailing this year.

The seven-night roundtrip Cricket Legends Festive Getaway on Ambition will depart from London Tilbury on December 12 and call at Amsterdam and Antwerp in the Netherlands and Rouen and Honfleur in France.

Former cricket players Graham Gooch and Alex Tudor and broadcasters Jonathan Agnew, Henry Blofeld and Garry Richardson will host quizzes and a Q&A session as well as attend pre-dinner drinks events to interact with passengers.

The cruise line is running a buy one get one half price offer for bookings secured by July 10. Prices for the first passenger cost from £611 and the second from £311.

A spokesperson said: “A number of interactive events will be held during the sailing, with the stars of the crease and commentary box set to share their personal experiences and views on the game as well as hold quizzes, Q&As and more.

“There will also be the opportunity for guests to join Goochie, Bambi, Aggers, Blowers and Mr Sport over pre-dinner drinks during the cruise.”
