Back In Time For Bed to host Anthem of the Seas event

More than 60 parents from across the UK travel industry are expected to attend the first family fun day organised by support group Back In Time For Bed.

The free event will take place on September 3 onboard Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas in Southampton.

As well as activities for parents and children, the event will be a networking opportunity and a chance to experience what the ship has to offer.

Activities range from kids’ clubs to swimming, bumper cars and the FlowRider surf simulator – plus the chance to enjoy 360-degree views from the ship’s glass observation capsule, North Star, as it rises to more than 300 feet in the air.

Launched in February 2023, Back In Time For Bed is the brainchild of Vicky Billing, head of partnerships for Riviera Travel, and Anna Perrott, head of supplier relations at Panache Cruises.

Billing said: “This will be Back In Time For Bed’s first major activity to bring together working parents from across the travel industry and build our community.

“We are hugely excited to be hosting it with Royal Caribbean and extremely grateful for their support with the initiative.”

Perrot added: “Our children get to hear about what we do at work, day in and day out. It will be great for them to experience our amazing industry first-hand onboard Anthem and meet lots of other travel industry families.”

Ben Bouldin, EMEA vice-president at Royal Caribbean International, commented: “At Royal Caribbean, we’re experts in creating lifelong happy memories for families so we jumped at the chance to lend our support and our ship to the Back in Time For Bed network and the families of those who work in the travel industry.

“I can’t imagine a better venue for this event; Anthem is an amazing ship, offering the whole family a combination of signature features and standout experiences that are truly unforgettable – it’s going to be a great day.”
