Celebrity Cruises becomes first cruise line to win Forbes Travel Guide Star Award

Celebrity Cruises has become the first cruise line to earn a Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Star Award.

The awards aim to recognise the world’s top hotels, restaurants, spas and, new for this year, ocean cruises – a category which was included for the first time in FTG’s 65-year history.

Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Flora (pictured) and Celebrity Millennium each earned star awards, while Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Summit received recommended honours.

The line’s remaining 15 ships will be evaluated later this year, with the exception of the smaller Galapagos ships.

Celebrity Cruises president and chief executive Lisa Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “To be star-rated multiple times over is such an incredible honour from the FTG team.

“It’s confirmation that with our resorts at sea, our guests truly sail on the world’s best places to the world’s best places.

“I’d like to congratulate the entire Celebrity family, both at sea and shoreside, for this special recognition. I celebrate each and every one of you and thank you for your dedication and commitment to delivering the best vacations at sea.”
