Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has appointed Samantha Stimpson as chief executive.
Based at the line’s head office in Ipswich, Stimpson has been tasked with taking overall responsibility for strategic development and managing operations.
She has more than 20 years’ experience in the travel industry, and has held positions at Thomas Cook, STA Travel, Tui and, most recently, FTI Touristik.

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines said Stimpson’s appointment will commence “no later than February 1, 2024”.
At the same time, current managing director Pete Deer will take up the role of chief financial officer.
Stimpson said: “I am honoured to be joining Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, a company that I have known and admired for years.
