Hays Travel recruits Cherie Richards to expand homeworking division

Cherie Richards has joined Hays Travel to lead recruitment for the agency’s homeworking division.

Formerly at the Global Travel Group and Not Just Travel, Richards will also oversee the Personal Travel Consultant business development and operational support teams.

She will report to Tanya Cooper, the recently appointed head of Personal Travel Consultants.

Cooper said: “Cherie’s wealth of experience in this area is exceptional, with over 30 years in various areas of the travel industry.

“Cherie’s passion and drive is a welcome addition to our expanding team. She will be a fantastic asset as we continue to grow, ensuring the experience and support is there for our members.”

Cooper added: “Along with experienced travel agents that joined us from external travel companies in September, we were also delighted to welcome 12 new additions to our Academy Programme.

“This is proving to be a very popular way into both travel and homeworking. We have seen an increased demand for this opportunity in the past two months, which is why the timing of Cherie joining us is perfect.”

Richards commented: “I am delighted to be working with Tanya and the homeworking team to drive the growth of the division.

“I can already see that Hays Travel have a great homeworking offering and look forward to working closer with the business development coaches and operations team to support our existing homeworkers drive their business forward.”

Most recently, Richard had joined Travel Solutions Network as director of homeworking in May but announced her departure in July.

She was commercial director at the Global Travel Group for 15 years, and as head of staff at Not Just Travel before she moved to TSN.
