Hays Travel has appointed a new head of its Personal Travel Consultants division as Steph Cope takes on the role of running the group’s corporate and consumer events.
Tanya Cooper, currently Hays’ regional sales manager for West Scotland, is to take the helm of the group’s PTC division of homeworkers, replacing current general manager Cope, who becomes head of corporate and consumer events for Hays Travel.
Cope said: “I am delighted to have an opportunity to move into the corporate and consumer events area of the business. We host some amazing events for our colleagues and customers and I’m excited to play a part in making a growing number of events happen in the future.”
Cooper follows in the footsteps of other former regional sales managers and divisional sales managers including Natasha Marson, Claire Cranfield and Steven Reilly who have all been moved across to run three of Hays Travel’s sales divisions: the Independence Group, Virtual Contact Centre and Explorer Travel.
Cooper said: “I am so pleased to have been given the opportunity to lead the PTC division for Hays Travel.
“I look forward to bringing my drive and experience in retail sales to support growth for all our members. I am excited to work with the current PTC members and welcome those looking to start a new challenge and journey with Hays Travel.”
Homeworking and marketing director John Milburn said: “Steph has been a fantastic ambassador for our PTC division over the last six years.
“With her recent success in organising our Independence Group and homeworking conferences, I am confident she will bring great focus and continue to deliver for the business in her new role as head of consumer and corporate events.
“I am absolutely delighted we have been able to appoint Tanya to the role of head of PTC. Her experience within the industry and her passion, drive and enthusiasm will be a fantastic asset as we continue to grow our PTC family and support our existing PTCs’ development.”
The company is now recruiting for a regional sales manager for West Scotland to fill Cooper’s role.
