The Holiday Fixer appoints first sales director amid rapid growth

Homeworking agency The Holiday Fixer has appointed Delwyn Hughes as its first sales director amid rapid growth.

Hughes previously worked as a luxury travel specialist at Oroko Travel, based in Ireland, and prior to that was luxury travel specialist at Audley Travel. Other former roles include retail luxury travel specialist for Kuoni and store manager, luxury travel specialist and trainer for Virgin Holidays.

Britt-Marie Monks, founder and chief executive of the travel agency, said it was an opportune time to make the appointment with the business set to have its busiest year. The company has 27 homeworkers and  plans to expand to 50 by the end of this year.

She said: “Since the launch of the ‘Become a Holiday Fixer’ programme our homeworking team of Holiday Fixers has been steadily growing and is on course to substantially increase by the end of the year.

“Having Delwyn head up the team will make a huge difference and we are really pleased to have him on board.”

Hughes said: “I am delighted to be joining Britt-Marie and the team at The Holiday Fixer as sales director.

“With 22 years’ experience working with some of the UK’s most prestigious luxury travel companies, I look forward to leveraging my expertise to further enhance our position as a leading luxury travel agency.

“A key focus will be expanding our successful homeworking division, bringing on board more talented travel experts who share our passion for creating exceptional travel experiences.

“We have ambitious expansion plans for the next 12 months, and I’m incredibly excited about the future prospects of the business.”
