This was a medium-sized, tidy-looking agency with its UK brochures behind the desks.
There were two consultants on duty and no customers in the shop so I was served immediately by a cheery consultant who greeted me as soon as I walked in. She asked me what I was looking for and suggested that Blakes would be a good option as it offered a range of cottages in Wales, but said she only had this year’s brochure in stock and as it was a shop copy she could not give it to me to take away.
The consultant telephoned Blakes to check when the 2002 brochure would be out and offered to call me when it was. She said she had just received a supply of 2002 Haven brochures, adding that the company was very good for families as it offered plenty of child facilities. I declined the offer but was pleased to be offered an alternative.
