Not Just Travel reports 33% increase in August bookings

Not Just Travel’s bookings this month to date are 33% up on August last year amid high demand for trips departing in less than 24 hours, according to the homeworking franchise.

The company also reported a strong performance in July, with July 29 being the biggest booking day since peaks.

The business said its strategy of giving increased attention to the cruise sector had paid off as agents welcomed “high-value repeat bookers”.

Company co-founder Steve Witt said: “This has been a record year for sales, and yet the boom in bookings continues.

“It’s highly unusual to have dates in July and August that outpace peaks bookings, but it shows there are still incredible last-minute deals to be had for people who want to get away for summer sun.

“Plus, more consumers than ever are being organised, booking for 2025 and beyond as they know exactly what they want, so they are capitalising on incredible holiday offers now.

“Not Just Travel’s increased attention on cruise has expanded a highly lucrative market for our consultants who are enjoying the benefits of focusing on the high-value repeat bookers.”

Not Just Travel consultant Emily Maycock (pictured) described demand as “rampant” this summer.

“I’m currently sailing around the Greek islands, yet bookings are coming in so fast that I’m still working remotely on my laptop,” she said.

“Customers are having fantastic holidays, and then coming back to me immediately to book again for next year.

“Plus, they are recommending me to friends who are also booking instantly.”
