Sun Princess to offer ‘unparalleled array’ of restaurants

Princess Cruises’ first Sphere-class ship will “elevate culinary excellence at sea” with a choice of 29 dining and lounge options.

Sun Princess will offer an “unparalleled array of dining sensations” when it launches in February 2024, the line said.

On the piazza, passengers will have a choice of three bars: Bellini’s Cocktail Bar, Good Spirits at Sea and O’Malley’s Irish Pub, or they can get a hot drink at Coffee Currents.

Speciality dining options include meat and seafood restaurant Crown Grill, sushi bar Kai Sushi and Italian bistro Sabatini’s, as well as Umai Teppanyaki where passengers can watch their food be prepared at a teppan grill.

The ship will also feature a “pop-up seafood dinner concept” from chef Rudi Sodamin called The Catch by Rudi.

For passengers looking for casual dining, Princess Cruises’ buffet-style restaurant World Fresh Marketplace will be on deck 9, next to International Cafe, which will serve food all day, and outdoor dining option The Promenade.

The main dining venue is the Horizons Dining Room, a three-story restaurant with capacity for 1,931 passengers.

The line said it will announce further details on two additional dining options and a celebrity chef partnership soon.

President John Padgett said: “Outstanding food and drink at exceptional value are a cornerstone of the Princess experience.

“Sun Princess elevates the entire portfolio of offers and wraps them in restaurants, bars and sundecks that reveal stunning views, ocean vistas and sunshine, ice and wildlife.

“Our chefs will serve up vibrant flavours, pour perfectly crafted cocktails and provide personalized service that is second to none.”
