Details of restaurants and bars to feature on Saga Cruises’ first purpose-built ship have been revealed.
They include seafood and Asian dining options and a garden terrace with access to a full-length promenade.
Spirit of Discovery is due to enter service in summer 2019 from the UK, carrying no more than 999 passengers.
Described as a “small, luxury, boutique vessel,” it will feature design cues from London hotels and restaurants, “redefining standards in British cruising”.
The Coast to Coast restaurant will serve British and locally-sourced fish, shellfish and other fruits de mer with a focus on minimalistic cooking.
Asian venue East to West will reflect a similar restaurant on Saga Sapphire, offering dinner-only service every evening.
The Terrace al fresco garden area will have access to the ship’s full-length promenade.
The main South Cape Bar has been named after the same space on Saga Ruby, though styled like a high-end hotel bar.
The venue will also be used for live sporting events via large television screens along with evening entertainment.
