Thomas Cook Airlines is to introduce an Economy PLUS product on its short and medium haul flights.
Additional services include priority boarding, an increased luggage allowance and in-flight drinks.
Economy PLUS will supplement Thomas Cook’s existing Economy fare from November 1 and costs £59.99 one-way.
Economy PLUS passengers will get a priority security lane and check-in, an additional 4kg of hand luggage, 25kg of hold luggage and in-flight drinks and a James Martin-inspired meal. They will also have access to Thomas Cook’s mobile in-flight entertainment service, Sunstream. Seats and legroom are no different in size but Economy PLUS passengers have the option to reserve a seat of their choice.
“The flight is such an important part of the travel experience, so we wanted to make sure that our customers have a choice between a price-sensitive offering like our regular Economy Class, as well as a more inclusive package that offers greater relaxation”, said Andy Gillies, Thomas Cook Airlines group head of product. “With Economy PLUS, customers will be able to board faster, take more with them, and relax in-flight from start to finish.”
