Tui UK & Ireland marketing and customer experience director Jeremy Ellis is to leave the business at the end of May.
Ellis has worked for Tui for 27 years, and has led the marketing division since 2011, overseeing activity including the ‘Simon the Ogre’ and ‘Miles the Bear’ campaigns. He also led the brand refresh of First Choice and the re-brand of Thomson to Tui, which was unveiled in October 2017.
The company has not announced if Ellis is moving to another role within the industry. His role will be taken over by Tui Group digital director Katie McAlister, who will join the Tui UK & Ireland board as chief marketing officer on June 1.
Ellis said: “I feel very lucky to have had such a long and varied career in Tui. It’s a fantastic business with fantastic people in a fantastic industry and I’ve learnt so much from my 27-year tenure.
“Leaving Tui will be hard as the business goes from strength to strength, but I know this is the right decision for me.”
McAlister joined Tui 19 years ago and has worked in both commercial and digital roles.
