Expedition cruise agency Polar Routes has become a member of Clia to raise awareness of its specialist services across the UK and Ireland.
The UK-based company was recently relaunched, expanding its programme to include destinations including the Norwegian coast, Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, North Pole and Antarctica.
Polar Routes redeveloped its website to feature a large database of cruises.
It will eventually feature more than 20 leading expedition lines, including Hurtigruten, Silversea Expeditions, Quark Expeditions and Aurora Expeditions.
Director Martin Johnson said: “We take great pride in our unrivalled knowledge of the ships and itineraries in these wonderful destinations.
“Polar Routes is absolutely thrilled to become a Clia member and we look forward to sharing this wealth of knowledge with all those interested in expedition cruises.
“We understand the importance of our customers’ investment and that, for many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. All the ships and operators in our programme have been hand-selected by us to ensure they offer the very best quality and value.”
Clia UK and Ireland director Andy Harmer said: “The addition of Polar Routes as a member of Clia highlights the ever-growing popularity of expedition cruises in the UK and Ireland.
“We are delighted to welcome Polar Routes to Clia and are confident that Polar Routes’ expedition expertise will be a great benefit for our travel agents members.”
