Palladium Hotel Group has pledged to take up to 80 UK agents to experience its new hotel in the Costa del Sol next year.
The 335-room four-star, beachfront Palladium Hotel Costa del Sol opens in July 2019. It is the group’s first property on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
Nacho Gozalbo, UK and Scandinavia sales director, said: “We will be doing fam trips for agents to the Costa del Sol in the second half of next year. We will aim to get between 40 and 80 agents out there.
“This is significant for us because we are bringing our brand to mainland Spain and bringing our knowledge as an all inclusive operator to the resort. We want to expand our brand and the Costa del Sol is a very important resort for the British customer.”
He added: “We are trying to work more with the UK trade; they are key for us.”
The hotel group this week opened its 670-room Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa Costa Mujeres and its adults-only 450-room TRS Coral Hotel (pictured) at the same Costa Mujeres resort in Mexico. The two hotels are linked by The Village, an area of shops, bars and recreation facilities.
Also this week, its five-star adults-only TRS Cap Cana Hotel, which has 120 rooms, opened in the Dominican Republic.
Next year, the group’s new Bless Collection Hotels brand will open hotels in Madrid and Ibiza. Bless Hotel Madrid opens in January and has 115 rooms. Bless Hotel Ibiza, which will have 150 rooms, opens in June.
It will have a portfolio of 50 hotels once the new properties have opened.
