Barrhead Travel has opened its first new store of 2019 at Fort Kinnaird retail park near Edinburgh.
The shop is fitted with in-store laptops and iPads for customers to research before they speak to an agent.
Virtual-reality headsets and digital screens also feature alongside dedicated cruise, long-haul and foreign exchange teams.
It is the fifth store to open in the Edinburgh vicinity.
Michelle Thomson, previous assistant manager at the Barrhead Travel Gyle branch, has been promoted to store manager and heads a team of 12.
Jacqueline Dobson, President of Barrhead Travel said: “We are delighted to hit the ground running in 2019 with our continued commitment to expansion both in terms of branches and technology.
“More than 80% of holidaymakers start their journey online and so to reflect a true 360 customer experience we are strengthening our focus on digitisation with our latest branch in Fort Kinnaird being a prime example of this.”
The opening of Fort Kinnaird takes the Scottish-based agency’s store network to 37.
