Celebrity Cruises has revealed 200 agents places will be available on the pre-inaugural sailing of Celebrity Apex which is now due to come into service ahead of schedule.
Agents who bag a spot on the two-night sailing at the end of March on the Edge-series ship will also be allowed to bring a guest.
For a chance to win one of the 200 cabins for two, agents need to make as many bookings as possible between August 1 to November 18, 2019, and register them on trade portal Celebrity Central.
Celebrity said points will be awarded depending on the inventory booking.
Agents can check on their progress via the online leader board in Celebrity Rewards.
A new selling guide, designed to help agents secure sales, will be made available on Celebrity Central on August 29.
Claire Stirrup, Celebrity’s director of sales, UK and Ireland, said: “Our agent partners helped us set the bar incredibly high with the launch of Celebrity Edge [in 2018] and we are confident we can exceed that success with Celebrity Apex.
“None of it would be possible without the ongoing incredible support from our trusted agent partners and what better way to say thank you than by giving 200 of them the chance to join us on board our brand new ship next year.”
The line added that Celebrity Apex is expected to be completed ahead of schedule next year.
A new four-night preview sailing has now been added to the 2,900-passenger ship’s programme due to it coming into service earlier than previously scheduled.
The preview sailing will depart on April 1, 2020, after the trade two-night voyage.
Apex will call at Bruges and Amsterdam, where it will stop off overnight. The additional four-night Celebrity Apex preview sailing will be priced from £889 for an Oceanview stateroom.
Following the preview sailing, Apex will complete a mini season, comprising of five cruises to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe in spring 2020. Apex will then homeport in Rome and Barcelona for the rest of the summer.
Jo Rzymowska, vice-president and managing director for the UK and Ireland, said: “The four-night preview sailing is the perfect introduction to luxury holidays at sea on a ship that breaks all the rules.”
