Kuoni will feature a new ship on its Gorges of the Yangtze holiday from March 2020.

The 14-night escorted small group tour currently includes a four-night river cruise on Century Sun. Next spring, it will switch to Century Glory, which launches in August 2019 and is designed for international tourism.

The tour starts with three nights in Shanghai (pictured) before embarking on the four-night Yangtze river cruise, which visits the Three Gorges Dam and Wu Gorge.

Passengers disembark in Chongqing then travel to Chengdu, where they will visit the Chengdu Panda Base.

The next stop on the itinerary is Xi’an where clients will see the Terracotta Warriors.

The final stop is Beijing where there will be sightseeing excursions and a visit to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall.

The holiday costs from £3,585, on a twin-share basis, including some meals, flights from Heathrow and group transfers.

There is an option to extend the holiday by spending four nights in Tibet.

• Kuoni has added 14 new hotels to its Far East 2020 brochure, in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.

One of the new properties will be exclusive to Kuoni UK – The Royal Santrian in Nusa Dua, Bali, which features beach villas with pools and butler service.

Elsewhere in Indonesia, new hotels include The Kayana in Lombok.

New properties in Thailand include Kalima Resorts and Villas in Khao Lak; Anantara Lawana in Koh Samui; and The Riverie in Chiang Rai.

In Singapore, Kuoni has added four resorts, three of which are on Sentosa Island including the family-friendly Village Hotel, adults-only The Outpost resort and The Barracks – a former army barracks which is due to open in December.

New additions in Vietnam include the Caravelle Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi, near Hanoi’s historic French and Old Quarters.

New tours include the Mekong Discovery, a 14-night escorted holiday which visits Siem Reap, Cambodia and Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, and features a seven-night cruise along the Mekong River.

Kuoni’s trade sales team will run a trip to Thailand in October for partner stores and offer training to agents with in-store visits.
