All-inclusive specialist Club Med will open a 294-room luxury resort next October, on the private island of Sainte Anne in the Seychelles.
Club Med Seychelles will be an Exclusive Collection resort, featuring three swimming pools, a Zen zone, beach lounge and yoga school.
Set in a national park, the island is 15 minutes by speedboat from Victoria-Seychelles airport in Mahe.
Kids’ clubs will cater for children aged from two to 17, while Amazing Family programme will offer families the chance to try activities such paddle-boarding, yoga, cooking and gardening.
Other activities include snorkelling, sailing, hiking, tennis and archery, while a spa area will offer 11 treatment rooms and beauty salon.
Club Med Seychelles is supporting eco-friendly initiatives around the resort, which is committed to having electric buggies, fuel-free watersports and no single-use plastics.
Family sessions will help guests understand more about local marine life, such as educational snorkelling trips, coral reef restoration and turtle preservation activities.
Estelle Giraudeau, Club Med UK and Northern Europe managing director, said it will be “one of the most eco-friendly holiday destinations in our portfolio”.
She added: “Not only is this a brand new destination for us, it is also the first time Club Med has opened a resort on its own private island.”
Prices will be available in January, and holidays at the resort go on sale on January 21, 2020.
