James Villas appoints Teletext’s Bloxham as new marketing director

Villa holiday specialist James Villa Holidays has appointed former Teletext Holidays head of marketing Mark Bloxham as its new marketing director.

The firm was acquired by Wyndham Vacation Rentals family two and a half years ago and has more than 2,500 properties in 60 destinations in its portfolio.

Bloxham joins next month after four years at Teletext and has been tasked with the development of the firm’s online and offline marketing strategy and the delivery of brand-building and digital campaigns.

“James Villa Holidays is a strong, well-respected, growing travel business, so it’s an exciting time to be joining the company,” he said.

“I’m leaving Teletext Holidays in great shape and I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved as a team, but am looking forward to the new challenge of ensuring James Villa Holidays remains the UK’s number one villa provider.”

Malcolm Hoad, managing director of James Villa Holidays, added: “I’m delighted that Mark is joining the team here at James and bringing with him a huge amount of online and offline marketing experience, industry knowledge and leadership.

“Most importantly this is mixed with drive and enthusiasm for overseas holidays and the villa market.”

Before joining Teletext, Bloxham was head of marketing for Kaplan Professional UK, a subsidiary of the Washington Post group, Adecco UK, and has held senior marketing positions within the financial services, recruitment and leisure industries including six years at Thomas Cook.

Wyndham Vacation Rentals also owns the Cottages4You, English Country Cottages, Hoseasons and Blakes brands.
