Loganair confirms new chair in latest change at the top

A new chair has been named by Loganair following the retirement of Peter Simpson.

James Drummond has assumed the role of non-executive chair of the UK’s largest regional airline.

The change at the top follows Luke Farajallah appointed as chief executive earlier this year.

He instituted a review of the business leading to three routes being dropped and frequencies temporarily reduced on seven others.

Farajallah said: “Following almost a decade at Loganair, Peter Simpson has stepped down from his role as executive chairman of the airline.

“We thank Peter for his years of service and wish him well on his retirement.

“James Drummond is now in place as non-executive chairman, and we look forward to sharing in the experience that he brings to the role.”

Drummond holds senior positions at a number of companies outside the travel sector.
