Feefo recruits former Expedia communications chief

Online ratings and reviews provider Feefo has appointed former Expedia senior director of global communications Alison Couper as vice-president of global brand and communications.

Couper most recently oversaw communications for across 85 global markets, and previously worked for companies including Airmiles, Orient Express Group and Rentokil Initial.

Andrew Mabbutt, chief executive of Feefo, said: “After five years of triple digit growth we want to bolster our global marketing team, and are delighted to have Alison join us.

“She brings with her great global knowledge and deep understanding of the online retail and review world. Our plans are for further accelerated growth this year.”

Couper added: “I am thrilled to be joining Feefo at this stage of their development and as they celebrate their first five years.

“Feefo is a true entrepreneurial, fast paced, innovative company with a great story to tell. I very much look forward to being part of that expansion.”

Feefo’s global headquarters were established in the UK in 2010. The UK operation now has more than 70 staff and works with more than 2,000 merchants globally.

Current merchants include traditional and online retail companies including Charles Tyrwhitt, The White Company, Moss Bros, Hitachi and Expedia. The Sunday Times Tech Track recently cited Feefo in its Top 10 ‘Ones to Watch’.

The company has offices in London, Petersfield, Boston, Hong Kong and Australia.
