Maltese carrier to run P&O Cruises Caribbean charter flights

A Maltese carrier is to supply charter aircraft to P&O Cruises for its winter Caribbean fly-cruise holidays.

Two Maleth Aero Airbus A330s will operate return flights from the UK to the Caribbean between November and March next year.

Flights will be from Gatwick and Manchester to Barbados and Antigua where passengers will join the ships Britannia and Arvia.

One of the wide-body A330-220 aircraft will be based at Gatwick and the other in Manchester for direct flights to the Caribbean islands.

Passengers will receive an enhanced in-flight meal service including bonded baggage, according to UK-based aviation solutions firm Ford Aviation.

Ford Aviation commercial director Craig Bevan said “We are delighted to develop our partnership with P&O Cruises, further assisting them with sourcing the best aviation solution for their cruise guests with our airline partner Maleth Aero.

“We look forward to the charter flight series commencing in November.”

Maleth Aero commercial vice president Raul Largo added: “We are thrilled to forge a partnership with Ford Aviation and P&O Cruises.

“We look forward to delivering a top-quality experience for Caribbean fly-cruise travellers and building a long-term relationship with our partners.”
