Aida Cruises’ new vessel to offer Canary Islands voyages

Aida Cruises’ new vessel Aidacosma will offer seven-night cruises around the Canary Islands in its debut season this winter.

The 5,228-passenger ship’s maiden programme runs from January 5, 2022, to April 9, 2022, after it sails from Hamburg to Gran Canaria on a one-off repositioning voyage.

Following the Canary Islands sailings, it will switch to the Mediterranean.

Starting on April 13, the ship will operate seven-day Mediterranean sailings from either Palma de Mallorca or Barcelona.

The ship’s previously scheduled sailings running from October 23 to December 21, 2021, have been cancelled, the German cruise line said.

Affected passengers and travel agents have been notified.

Sister ship Aidanova (pictured), which joined the line in 2018, will offer seven-night voyages in the Arabian Gulf from November 26, 2021.

On April 7, the vessel will return to Germany via the Mediterranean on a variety of positioning cruises.
