Aito pledges more training and HR hotline for members

Aito is to roll out more training for members as well as an HR hotline in the autumn.

The Specialist Travel Association (Aito) made the announcement at its AGM as it revealed two new appointments as part of its bid to grow membership following the departure of its head of commercial Bharat Gadhoke at the end of last year.

Travel Trade Consultancy business consultant Christina Brazier has taken up Aito’s new role of head of industry affairs and Protected Trust Services’ commercial and partnership manager Emma Taylor has joined as head of membership.

Aito now plans to review its policies and guidance for members while training is an area that will be expanded to help members with their businesses.

Plans are already underway for a data analytics course and one on the “art of persuasion”, said Aito executive director Martyn Sumners.

Meanwhile, travel law firm Travlaw has offered to launch an HR hotline for Aito members, which is due to launch in September.

“Members will be able to have a 30 minute call with regard to any HR issues they might have,” added Sumners.
