The poll also indicated those most likely to make a last-minute booking were under 35 years, who are more likely to go on an activity holiday.
n northern ireland marks 20% growth
Thenumber of British visitors to Northern Ireland increased 20% last year, topping the million mark, at 1,002,000, for the first time. The Northern Ireland Tourist Board attributed the growth to the peace process and the level of investment in the province.
n BAH offers onE-way club europe upgrade
British Airways Holidays is offering a free one-way upgrade to Club Europe on bookings to selected cities, including Athens, Florence, Barcelona, and Milan. Holidays must be taken between July and September. Upgrades for the return flight start at £24 per person.
