Promise made to hit harder when lobbying Government

ADOUBLEassault is planned on the Government by the Guild of Business Travel Agents after members pledged to step up lobbying and to ask for cash to fund training.

The two-pronged plan followed a warning from Labour MP and GBTA parliamentary consultant Peter Snape that it needs to increase its campaigning or risk being hit with further taxes.

GBTA chairman Don Lunn said Labour is ignoring and exploiting business travellers which it views as an easy touch for taxes.

“We have become increasingly concerned that they appear to assume that business travellers are unaffected by extra costs or taxes,” said Lunn.
