Emery alerts Imminus over system flaws

A CARDIFF travel agent fears he is losing business because Imminus’ Internet-based viewdata system Endeavour keeps crashing.

Celtic Tours manager Keith Emery, who pays £200 a month for the system, said: “The server crashes several times a day.

“Customers are sending us e-mails and we guarantee to get back to them within an hour. But when the server goes down, you have to play catch-up. It crashes at busy times so perhaps it can’t handle the traffic.”

Emery also claims when he signed up for Endeavour, he was wrongly informed that he could use it to update his Web site, cheapholidays.com.

An Imminus spokesman admitted it was experiencing problems due to more agents signing up for Endeavour than originally forecast. He said the capacity shortage problem on the server would be sorted over the next few weeks.
