Hilton devises meetings guide with advice for event planners
HILTON has put together a guide for planners to help them get the most out of their meetings and presentations. The Guide to More Successful Meetings is divided into five sections and has been designed to be as useful for a first-time meeting organiser as for the professional meeting planner.
Subjects covered include planning a workable agenda, effective meeting taking and getting the most from brainstorms and breakout sessions.
There are also tips on room layout, sharpening presentation and performance through voice control and evaluation techniques, plus advice on how to energise delegates by using brain teasers or fitness experts.
Hilton Meetings brand manager Rachel Wright said the guide was produced after focus meetings, with meeting organisers, which showed that newcomers to the business were not sure what to look for in terms of room size and facilities.
“Our guide has plenty of useful information for them but is also a nice sales tool that shows we know what we are doing,” she said.
The launch of the guide follows a £5m investment to upgrade 543 Hilton Meeting rooms in Hilton and former Stakis hotels. Hilton acquired Stakis in March last year. In March this year, the group merged the Hilton Meetings 2000 and the Stakis Assured Meetings products under the Hilton Meetings brand.
