n prague congress centre extension


A £50 million extension to the Prague Congress Centre is nearing completion for next month’s annual International Monetary Fund/World Bank Group Congress -Êthe largest assembly staged in the Czech Republic. ItÊwill increase capacity to 8,500.


n hungary repeats london poster drive


Hungary is to repeat a poster campaign in central London’s tube stations and on buses in November and December at a cost of £50,000. The first campaign took place earlier this year.


n transun boosts short-break options


Transun’s short-stay programme for 2001 includes a two-night break from Glasgow to Prague and Budapest on March 5 (£299) and a day trip from Luton to St Petersburg on April 4 (£179).


n german travel centre flight offer


The German Travel Centre is offering return fares to Berlin from Stansted for £100 until the end of this month. One-night breaks in the capital start at £140, including hotel accommodation.


n Hotel morje opens thai health centre


The Hotel Morje in Slovenia’s coastal resort of Portoroz has opened a Thai health spa and massage centre.
