Dan Hotels is launching a Book and Win incentive giving UK travel agents who book clients into either the Dan Eilat or Dan Panorama in Eilat the chance to win a holiday. The Israeli hotel group is also giving away vouchers to spend in the UK. The promotion launches on Thursday. Pullman Holidays has announced it is slashing prices on all September holidays by £50 per person. The Pullman 2000 brochure includes resort stays in Tel Aviv, Netanya and Jerusalem, escorted tours such as theseven-day classical tour, and flydrive itineraries based on kibbutz-style accommodation. The reduction is based on flights from Gatwickto Tel Aviv.
* airport expansion nears completion
Work has started at Ovda Airport – about an hour’s drive from Eilat and the main arrivals point for visitors to the Red Sea resort – to add more passport booths and expand passenger waiting areas. It is scheduledfor completion by November.
* inter-continental opens in jericho
The five-starInter-Continental Jericho has opened in the West Bank, 15 minutes from the Dead Sea. The Bass Hotel and Resorts property has 184 rooms including 14 junior suites, all with mountain views. Facilities include a swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, meeting rooms and a Club Inter-Continental floor and lounge.

Kuoni is featuring Mecure Mirage in Eilat in itsTropical Sun brochurethis season — the first timethe operator has featured the resort. Prices startat £399 per person bed and breakfast, including flights and transfers.
