Steve turns back time as ABTA takes its toll

URBANWEB managing director Steve Endacott was in a worldof his own in the latter stages of the ABTAconference in Kos -literally.

After making his presentation on the Sunday, he decided to let his hair down in the evening. In other words, he got completely hammered.

He finally staggered into bed, very much the worse for wear, at 6am.

He then woke up with a jolt in what he thought was the middle of the afternoon.

Showering and getting himself dressed, he cursed the fact he had managed to miss the last day’s conference sessions and also the Travel Weekly lunch.

He bowled up to the conference centre and asked if anything was going on and was completely surprised to be told that the sessions were only just about to start.

“What at 3.30pm? They’re over aren’t they?” asked Endacott.

“Sir, your watch is upside down, it’s 9am,” came the response.

“I crept into the conference room at the back,” said Endacott.

“I’m afraid I was still drunk.”

Night owl: one too many drinks left Endacott in a land of confusion
