EasyJet customers to get refund for disruption

Report by John Lavabre

EASYJET is to refund passengers whose flights were delayed
because of the severe weather that closed Luton and Liverpool airports.

Any passenger who arrived at their destination more than
four hours late will receive a full refund.

The low-cost airline’s operations were disrupted following
the closure of Luton and Liverpool airports on December 28 because of poor
weather conditions. EasyJet claims “failings” by its de-icing contractor in
Luton on December 29 made problems worse.

Normal operations finally resumed on December 31.

A statement issued by the airline said: “EasyJet wishes to
express its sincere apologies to all those people affected.”
