CHOICE Hotels will open its first three Sleep Inn-branded properties in the UK in September this year.
Aimed at business travellers looking for comfortable accommodation at a budget price, the brand will compete in the market place with rivals Holiday Inn Express.
One Sleep Inn property is being built off the M11 motorway near Cambridge and the other two off the A1 near Peterborough and Stevenage. Two more, in Leeds and Manchester, are due to open next January.
Choice Hotels chief operating officer Peter Cashman said: “There are a lot of budget hotels, but many lack facilities which business people want. For example, Sleep Inns will have bigger than average rooms with air conditioning – a first for accommodation at this price.
“Depending on the location of the hotel, rooms will cost £35-£55 a night.”
