jets collide over southern germany

TWO aircraft have collided over Southern Germany killing
around 70 people, the BBC is reporting.

One of the aircraft was a passenger jet flying between
Moscow and Barcelona and is thought to have been carrying schoolchildren. The
other aircraft was a cargo jet.

The exact cause of the incident has not been established,
although early indications suggest the pilot of the Russian aircraft may have
failed to react quickly enough to avoid the accident happening.
