BMI adds £4 GDS supplement

BMI is adding a £4 per sector global distribution
system supplement on its four lowest economy fare
classes.

The airline said the charge, implemented on October 1, has been
introduced to “reflect the cost of distributing the fare” through
GDSs.

Voyager Travel director Sandy MacPherson said the move was
expected but added: “I’m very disappointed because I thought
BMI was agent friendly.”

Meanwhile, BMI is launching Heathrow to Mumbai and Bangalore
services from March.
