Thomson offers discount to customers hit by APD rise – 19 Jan 2007

Thomson is offering all its passengers forced to pay extra Air Passenger Duty a discount off future accommodation-only purchases.

The Government doubled APD to £10 for all short-haul flights from February, meaning all customers that booked flights will be forced to pay an extra £5 before they travel.

However, Thomsonfly is offering affected customers a £5 discount on any future accommodation booking with Thomson.

Any Thomson customer that does not want to pay the extra APD tax can cancel their booking.
