Leger Holidays to take free internet calls via Skype – 8 May 2007

Escorted coach tours operator Leger Holidays has installed internet telephony service Skype on its website.

Agents who download the internet-based communication tool will be able to make free voice calls to the operator, as well as communicate with it using Skype’s instant messenger service.

Leger Holidays web development manager Michael Rhodes said the company also planned to make savings by using Skype for internal voice traffic.

“The key benefit of Skype is the significant cost saving for both us and agents,” said Rhodes.

“We are keen to stay ahead of the game with our website technology and we are pleased to be announcing that we are the first tour operator to use Skype.”
