Hoseasons to lay off 30 call centre staff

Hoseasons, the Norfolk-based holiday company, is to make up to 30 call centre staff redundant.

Management at Hoseasons, based in Lowestoft, says up to 30 of its 270 staff may have to go following an operational review.

The company says that an operational review has shown up a change in customer booking patterns, with more people booking online and fewer brochures being sent out in the post.

Chief executive Richard Carrick said: “We have been trying to transform Hoseasons from a traditional business into a more modern business.

“There is nothing wrong with the market, and demand is buoyant. Our web sales are growing all the time but this simply means you need fewer people.”

Hoseasons are specialists in self-catering, leisure park and boating holidays.
