Sun International has opened its first resort outside Southern Africa and is heavily targeting the UK market.
The Sun International Resort at Port Ghalib, Red Sea, Egypt comprises three hotels, a convention centre, lagoon, international marina and souk. The half-mile-long corniche offers shops, bars and restaurants.
Located in Marsa Alam, next to the airport, the resort can be reached by EgyptAir Express from Cairo. In addition, charter flights operate once a week with flythomascook or Thomsonfly from Gatwick and Manchester during the winter season.
“The UK is our primary market and is probably our most important market,” stressed Sun International Resorts and Hotels marketing director IanAnderson.”Egypt’s mysticism has attracted millions of tourists from around theworld, and Port Ghalib is a unique attraction,” he added.
