Gordon McCreadie and Tony Byrne are accepting day-to-day responsibility for Cosmos trade sales in the wake of Andy Washington’s departure.
The respective Cosmos, Avro and somewhere2stay head of trade relations and the Cosmos Tourama head of trade relations will now report to Cosmos product and commercial director Stuart Jackson.
Jackson will assume responsibility for the tour operator’s trade sales and distribution division when Washington departs some time in the spring to take up the newly created position of sales director – travel at lastminute.com.
Jackson said: “With the company policy of succession management we were keen to take this opportunity to elevate the positions of Gordon and Tony.
“They are both hugely respected by our trade partners and I am confident they can take a greater role in delivering our trade sales strategy.
“The sales function is now so commercially and component-aligned that we believe the time is right not to replace a dedicated Sales Director role but encompass it into the commercial end of the business.”
