New scheme targets multiples


MULTIPLE retail chains are the key target in the Australian Tourist Commission’s new recruitment drive for its Aussie Specialist Agent training scheme.



It wants to add a further 250 agency staff to its current membership of around 550. With a wide range of Australia products on the market, the commission wants to expand both specialist selling skills and catchment areas. Business development manager UK and Ireland Jo Williams said: “We are trying to work more with the multiples and get them to take up our training programme.”



The ATC is inviting its Aussie agent members to an informal evening drinks reception next Monday at the specialist Australian outfitters store of RM Williams in Regent Street, where they will also get special discounts on clothing.
