Beachcomber’s online training proves a hit with travel agents

An online training academy launched by Beachcomber Tours has become one of the industry’s fastest–growing programmes, with 680 agents signing up since December.

About half those registered have completed all five modules: Mauritius, the Seychelles, the Arabian Peninsula, Africa and weddings.

Travel agents who register can also take part in an incentive scheme to win a place on educationals to Mauritius and the Seychelles. They win points for each booking and extra credit for booking through Air Mauritius and Air Seychelles.

UK sales manager Sarah Archer said: “Training is important as our sales team can only reach a limited number of agents. We’ve had some good feedback and the technology company has said we are their fastest–growing online academy, with 300 agents signing up in the first two weeks.”
