MSC Cruises has unveiled a chance for agents to win a place on the MSC Meraviglia, ahead of its official launch.
The cruise line’s newest ship will launch in June and, following a record breaking peak booking period, the company will host 20 agents ahead of its inauguration.
Director of sales UK and Ireland, Steve Williams said: “It is has been a simply incredible January, the strategy of expanding the sales team late last year is really paying off for us, we have been able to support the trade like never before.
“We are seeing hundreds more agents engaging and booking with MSC on a daily basis than we have seen in previous years from both the high street and cruise specialists.”
The cruise brand revealed it has seen a ‘record breaking’ peak booking period with sales up in excess of 55% in the UK and Irish markets.
UK and Ireland managing director, Antonio Paradiso said: “We are so delighted with our performance though January experiencing incredible booking levels both in terms of volume and booking values particularly in the Med, Caribbean and Cuba.
“This lays strong foundations as we plan for our beautiful MSC Magnifica sailing from Southampton in 2018, we are already planning how we will tweek the product onboard to be more British & Irish friendly as the majority of passengers will be coming from these markets.”
Paradiso said the sales growth was also due to working closer with the trade and the expansion of their sales team.
Williams added: “We have such an exciting year ahead with two new ship launches alone this year with another two next year it is imperative we are able to spread this message to the trade and trade consumer shows remain a great way to do this.”
To win a place on the overnight trip on June 2, agents must have made a turn of year booking up until February 28 and email their booking reference, full name and ABTA to tradesupportuk@msccruises.co.uk.
The competition will close on February 28 and the winner will be drawn on March 3 with the winner able to travel to Le Havre either the day of or day before the prize evening.
