Jet2holidays announces destination for its 2017 VIP conference

This year’s Jet2holidays VIP trade conference will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tenerife.

The operator will be whisking 240 of its partner travel agents to the Canary island in November for a two-part conference. Both top performing and high potential agents are invited.

The first will take place from November 27 to November 29 and the second will follow on directly, running from November 30 to December 2.

Agents will hear about Jet2holidays’ future vision from chief executive Steve Heapy and see interactive sessions on how to promote and sell package holidays to further boost their own growth and expansion and focus on how independent agents can sell the operator’s Jet2Villas product, which was announced at the 2016 conference.

Announcing the destination at the Hard Rock Cafe in London, Jet2holidays’ head of trade Alan Cross said: “Jet2holidays continues to enjoy fantastic support and sales from independent travel agents, which shows that our approach to working in partnership with them is the right one.

“This special VIP conference is a way of saying thanks to our best performing agents, as well as those who are committed to our partnership approach, and I’m looking forward to a very productive and enjoyable event. Partnerships with independent travel agents are an absolutely critical part of our business and these special VIP conferences at the amazing Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife will celebrate and strengthen them.”

There will be presentations, supplier showcases, a gala dinner and a breakfast pool party, with the second conference featuring an awards ceremony which will recognise the best-selling and most successful agents of the past 12 months.

Delegates will be flown to Tenerife on one of the company’s new Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Manchester Airport.

The rock and roll-themed Hard Rock Hotel, operated by Palladium Hotel Group, opened on Playa Paraiso in October 2016.

It features an open-air stage, three pools and a Rock Spa.
