A one-day travel trade workshop on how to best reach over-50s travellers is to be run by Silver Travel Advisor.
The October 13 training day in London will also pinpoint what typically alienates mature consumers and seek to overcome stereotypical thinking about older people.
Silver Travel Advisor managing director Debbie Marshall said: ‘For younger travel professionals especially, it can sometimes be difficult to appreciate what older customers most need and value in relation to their travel experiences.
“This course aims to give people a better understanding of how older people think, how they research and buy, and how they can be reached more effectively to give travel agents and travel companies a greater share of this highly lucrative and growing market.”
Silver Travel trainer Jane Silk said: “When it comes to the over 50s travel market, one size does not fit all.
“This training day aims to guide travel professionals around the elephant traps that can undo the best-laid marketing plans if you don’t segment mature people into appropriate groups, or talk to silver travellers in the right tone of voice.
“Participants will learn how to power-up their silver segments and age-proof their communications.”
The course costs £295 per person and will be held at Silver Travel Advisor, Tavis House, Tavistock Square, London.
Bookings can be made by emailing service@silvertraveladvisor.com, jane.silk@silvertravel.co.uk or by phoning 07788 438736.
